The Loupe
For more than thirty years, I have looked at the world through a jeweller's loupe.
Most people believe it is simply a tool for assessing a diamond, revealing its quality or uncovering its hidden characteristics. That is partly true. But over the years, I have come to realise that this small lens has taught me something far more valuable.
It has taught me to slow down. To look beyond the surface. To search for the details that make every creation unique. The same attention I give to every gemstone, I give to the people I meet, their stories, and the moments they wish to preserve forever.
Because a jewel is never born at a workbench. It begins with an emotion. A memory. A promise. A dream.
My role is to transform those moments into something that can outlast time itself, preserving their meaning for generations to come.
The Young Man Who Chose to Leave
I was born into a family of jewellers.
From an early age, I grew up in an environment where craftsmanship, keeping one's word, and respect for every client were not simply professional principles, but part of everyday life.
Yet I felt that, to truly understand this profession, I needed to go beyond what I already knew. So I chose to leave.
After completing my studies and gaining my first professional experience, I had the opportunity to work in Paris, in specialised workshops that created jewellery for some of France's most prestigious Maisons, including Cartier.
It was an experience that profoundly changed the way I see jewellery.
In those workshops, I discovered a culture of craftsmanship where every detail mattered. Every gesture had a purpose. Every technique had a reason. Every millimetre deserved absolute attention.
I learned that true excellence is never born from the desire to impress. It comes from refusing to compromise.
That lesson has remained with me ever since. Every time I design a new creation. Every time I select a gemstone. Every time a client entrusts me with a precious moment of their life to preserve for generations to come.
Designing Beauty
My academic background is in architecture. At first glance, it may seem far removed from the world of fine jewellery. Yet over the years, I have discovered how deeply these two disciplines are connected.
Architecture taught me to understand proportion, to appreciate the relationship between light and material, and to seek the perfect balance between function and beauty.
It taught me that nothing should ever be left to chance.
When I design a piece of jewellery, I carry that same perspective with me. A ring, a necklace, or a pair of earrings may be small in size, but they begin with the very same questions that shape every meaningful design: How will it interact with the light? What emotion will it convey? How will it look in ten, twenty, or fifty years?
Although architecture may seem distant from jewellery, it helped me understand that true elegance is never born from excess, but from harmony.
Yet if architecture taught me the discipline of proportion, women taught me the value of emotion.
For more than thirty years, I have designed jewellery almost exclusively with women in mind. Their individuality. Their strength. Their elegance. Their extraordinary ability to be, each in her own way, utterly unique.
Many of my creations have been inspired by a glance, a conversation, a story shared in my boutique, or simply by observing a gesture. People often ask me where my inspiration comes from.The answer is simple.
From women.
They are my muses. They continue to inspire my curiosity, shape my sensitivity, and nurture the creativity that still guides every piece I create today.
What I Believe In
Living in a world where almost everything is designed to be replaced has only strengthened my belief in things that are made to endure. Objects, fashions, trends... they come and go with remarkable speed. Perhaps that is why I became a jeweller. My goal is not simply to create jewellery that will be worn. I want to create jewellery that will be remembered.
Pieces that tell the story of a birth, a love, an achievement, or a promise kept. Pieces that carry their meaning through the years without ever losing it. Because the true value of a creation is not measured solely by the materials from which it is made. It is measured by the emotions it preserves, the stories it accompanies, and the memories it continues to evoke long after it is created. That is what I strive for every single day: transforming life's most meaningful moments into something that will stand the test of time. Because jewellery is the guardian of life's most precious moments.
